Reflecting on the exit of Professor Lai Oso reminds me of his support on the setting up of the Annual Public Relations Diamond Lecture and publication of Corporate Mirror Magazine in 1996, which I initiated as compulsory practical in the teaching of PUBLIC RELATIONS COPY AND MEDIA in 1996 at Ogun State Polytechnic, Abeokuta.
As the HOD and Director of School of Communications, Dr. Lai Oso readily approved my proposals and supported the projects by immediately suggesting Mallam Kabiru Dangogo, Head of Public Relations at Union Bank headquarters as the guest lecturer.
The projects were highly successful and subsists to date, as practical orientation for the students, which remain unique in the entire country.
